Garden and Yard
Modern living doesn’t have to be environmentally hazardous or having an interior and exterior house appeal that is made up of modernized decorations and furniture. Today’s fashion, house interior and house exterior designers tend to get inspiration from nature. Designs are mostly environmentally friendly and with the hint of green and brown shades. Therefore, living in city condominiums doesn’t mean you should erase nature in your design preferences. Some people tend to put ornamental plants and decorative bamboo poles in their balconies and verandas just to be closer to nature.
You don’t have to landscape an entire garden in your veranda. You may opt to choose a theme or design that may combine natural and modern elements. Such technique is quite popular nowadays especially these recent years that the awareness about nature’s gradual deterioration due to excessive pollution and urbanization tends to grow. You can put small plants and trees provided that your veranda has enough space to accommodate them. If your veranda doesn’t get enough sunlight during daytime to permit plant growth, there is always the type of plants that doesn’t need sunlight to grow. You can put or plant them in modern-looking pots and put decorative rocks or pebbles around them.
You can also opt to make your kitchen design eco-friendly. Eco-friendly doesn’t have to mean coloring your kitchen green and putting plants in it too. You search the internet for eco-friendly kitchen designs to give you more ideas.

Garden and Yard
Shopping for your home is as simple yet as important as shopping for a complete meal for your family where you aim to get every important nutrient you needs. Balancing is very important in home improvement just like in the food you eat. Without balance, you would feel as if something is missing and failure to achieve balance would make the other essential parts of the house useless. So if you want to achieve balance in style and concept, grab some bamboo sticks and make a mini resort on your garden and pool area if you want to balance your great home interior concepts.
Homeowners with a huge backyard are very lucky because of a wise variety of things they could do to make their surroundings as fantastic as the interiors. Keep in mind that no matter how expensive you spend for your interior design, that wouldn’t be enough if you don’t have a great landscape to surround your home.
If this is the case, why not make little tiki bars and be amazed with what you can come up with. Especially if you apply the tropical them to your home, the more that you need to use bamboo products and tikis to unify the theme of your home, from the outside to the inside.

Let’s face it. Gardening and landscaping could get tedious and time-consuming. It’s tiring, and it’s a task that we would rather leave for someone else (read: a gardener) to do. But, there are some things we can do to save some time and effort in gardening.
Ever heard of automatic irrigation? Yeah, it can be done. Watering the yard is time consuming, so why not have it done automatically? Automatic irrigation systems can be installed professionally, or not (for the more frugal ones). They save time and effort, and in the end, that’s what is important, right?
Now, for those who really want to keep watering their yard to a minimum, there is xeriscaping. Essentially, xeriscaping is creating a landscape design that is modified to last through drought conditions. Basically, it means using plants that are suited to drought conditions, like cacti and other succulents and using grass that requires less watering than what is normally used in lawns.
A rock garden could also be a solution for those wanting a low-maintenance landscape. Like xeriscapes, rock gardens are drought-resistant and therefore require less water and effort for maintenance.
There are other things that could be done to keep a low-maintenance garden, but those listed above are those that are most commonly done nowadays.
